Okay so we went to see The Dark Knight today. HERE BE SPOILERS HERE BE SPOILERS HERE BE SPOILERS
----
After months and months of hype (and the passing of the dearly departed, we all know what I'm talking about) and the endless reems of "Why So Serious" I know am with the people who think its old. Only the people who haven't seen it should actually be saying that. To be perfectly honest with you? I thought the pencil magic trick line was much more amusing. That whole scene was good (first Joker scene). Infact, Heath's whole performance is definately worthy of an Oscar (by the way, if someone died during a film, or before the Oscars for that, how do they get their Oscar if nominated and won??) and was the best thing about the film. I sat through the slightly boring cop scenes to wait for Joker scenes. Enthralling. But cannot see why Fangirls are Fanwanking over him. I mean, they should look at the cartoon Joker, and the other Jokers. HE IS NOT. GODDAMN SEXY. HE IS. CREEPY AND WEIRD. GET IT RIGHT. YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. Seriously, someone should drill into their heads that he would rather carve his name into their arm surrounded by, like, a heart, and then slit their throats open and eat their eyeballs out (okay, maybe not that last one) but ANYTHING BUT MARRY THEM. AAAAARGGHHH.
He's a one man band, thats fo sure. He gets his pleasure out of chaos and murder, not women (:
So yes, now I'm glad I've seen it. It was excellent yes, if lacking a bit in the 'epic' department. But thanks Dad for taking us to see it; a real treat. :D Now I can get over it, like all the other people who have seen it. Like Natalie said, it doesn't have much re-watchability, not like the first one. And it did discredit the first one a bit. I found Batman too angsty (which is why he was never a fav, although I prefer Bruce Wayne to Batman. Christian Bale is a good actor for him anyway).
I can get off the bandwagon. *phew* TBH I was never really on it, I think I'll just step away from the wagonstop. And, well, I say that because, I think I'm too young to really have known it in its peak. My sister remembers it more, and I didn't really like it all that much. I frequently puncture my words with "Holy Smokes, Batman!" quoting Robin, knowing where its from and just for funny effect, and also "Good thinking/plan, Batman" but thats it. You will no longer find me quoting "Y SO SRS" because I'm a bit sick of hearing it, lmao. Said it enough, now. I might do it jokingly (ha, ha, ha) but apart from that, just to take the mick out of someone saying it.
If I had a fav Batman person, it would be Robin & the Scarecrow (liked him from Batman Begins and lol, his little appearance in the Dark Knight made me smile "Thats not my diagnosis" haha that made me laugh).
So I was sat down at my desk about thirty minutes ago, thinking "Hmm, I just can't wait for someone to do that..." (I'll show you what in a minute) But then I thought, hmm, well, I don't really have to wait for someone to do it, I'll do it myself. This is what I did -

(funnily enough the font I used was pretty fitting - 'Jokerman' Hahahaha).
And also, I had "Why so serious?" on my MSN name for a while. Today it changed, and I put it in my personal message instead, captioned "It's old now, so it's moved down here - Y SO SRS". And then it went to "It's old now - so it's completely gone."
And then. "It's old now - so its JACK FUCKING TWIST instead" LOL. Because Ennis from BB Mountain, is always going JACK FUCKING TWIST. Bit of a joke between me and Nat. (:
So if you're going to see this film, get an appointment with your psychiatrist first. ;)
