I wanted to get this down somewhere in ordered thoughts with paragraphs rather than just quizzes on Facebook. I've thought about it a lot before. For a lot of people I think the term 'soul mate' is interpreted as being someone who you perhaps find, during your life, who you can never be parted from once you find them. Someone you fall in love with. Someone you would have a relationship with. But I don't believe this.
For me a soul mate is someone, anyone - whether you meet them or already know them, who you can share everything with, who you feel a stronger connection or bond with than anyone else, who without you WOULD waste away regardless of the wonderful people you had around you. For me that person is my sister Natalie. Of course I've known her all my life and she's not someone I have a relationship with - but I've always said, she's my best friend. And I think that's the role the soul mate plays. Someone you can always turn to when everyone else is gone.
And your true love is different. I've found my soul mate, and I know it sounds stupid because of my age, but I think I've found the other thing I mentioned too.
