Laziness is, of course, not such a great thing. But when you know you're being lazy with something, the only thing that can get you off your butt is a really close deadline, or self-motivation, or a positive, self-beneficial offer from someone else. But if all they're doing is nagging, then it's going to push you further into not wanting to do it, just because it becomes less something you want/need to do, and something for them instead, and the more they're nagging you know the less they'll actually appreciate it when you do finally get around to doing it - simply because they'll concentrate less on the actual quality of the job and more on the fact that you took ages on doing it. Is that just the generic English way, looking at the negative instead of the positive, or is that just human nature?
I have no idea, but it's so damn annoying, and I'll do it when I want to do it, regardless of when someone else wants me to do it. This of course doesn't apply to things that are immediately important, like schoolwork, but when it's hobby-related, it's even worse. It should be something I can enjoy in my spare time, not a chore, not a favour. It's for my own enjoyment; so when people nag it makes it less enjoyable and more irritating. Argh.
(It's not even as though my not doing what this person wants = cramps them continuing with it themselves? It doesn't impact them at all. Whatever 8D )
