Righty, I wanted to explain something to all of you, which you might not have known =D
You know at the end of series 3 of Doctor Who when Jack tells us that he's the Face of Boe? You know why he's got that nickname? Because the Time Agency called him the Face of Boe. I think they called his planet Boe and ... well, his good looks were the cause of it really, and he was the first person to come to the Time Agency from that particular planet. Methinks hes either not human or that the Time Agency is on a different planet to Earth OR that in the future it's not called Earth, its called Boe. :P
HAHA my detective skills are too good!
Now we know why in 'Gridlock' and 'New Earth' the Doctor says that the Face of Boe is 'a very, very old friend'. (: Aww, innit niiiice.
I just really wanna know why Jack looks like that after billions and billions of years. HAHAHA. And why did he die in the end? Or maybe he didn't die. He couldn't die. He comes back to life dammit! D: I want to see more Face of Boe. ;-;

My theory -
Jack came from the mountains of Boe, yes? I was thinking perhaps that's where the origional Face of Boe came from, but it isn't actually Jack - it's just sort of a legend from that area and therefore how Jack got his nickname. Otherwise, how would they explain the episode where we first get introduced to the face of Boe;
He had four children, all who lived to 40. And his head is really massive. |: idk. My theory.
